When you think of top real estate agents, you might picture perfect scripts, cold calls, or constant hustling. But for Sheena Baker, it all started with something simpler—showing up.
In a recent episode of “The socially savvy agent,” I had the pleasure of chatting with my friend and top producer, Sheena Baker. We took a trip down memory lane, reflected on her early days in real estate, and talked about what makes her stand out. Spoiler alert: it’s not fancy marketing or expensive leads—it’s her authenticity.
Sheena grew up watching her father throw unforgettable gatherings. That hospitality, paired with a genuine love for people, became the foundation of her real estate success. She never sees networking as “work.” For her, it’s about connecting with people at their level—whether it’s a client’s baby shower or a friend’s birthday dinner. And as she says, “Business just happens to come from that.”
What’s more impressive? Sheena has systems. Her boundaries are clear, her weekends are sacred, and her business runs like a corporation. That balance allows her to be fully present—both for her clients and at the dinner table.
If you’re a new agent or someone who struggles with putting yourself out there, Sheena’s advice is simple:
- Start with a list of your VIPs—people who support and refer you.
- Host small events. Think happy hours or movie nights.
- Show up early to networking events and ask real questions.
Sheena proves that being yourself and staying consistent is more powerful than any sales pitch. And yes, she might just inspire you to stick around after the next event instead of rushing out the door.
